Free Serial Port Monitor has a friendly and well-designed interface that will enable you to begin serial logging with ease. All you need to do is choose a serial port, configure its parameters, specify a file to save monitoring data to, and click Start. The utility is compatible with many virtualization apps, including VMware and Hyper-V. The ability to run the software under your guest OS is especially useful for testing purposes. When you attach COM-based devices, like scales, meters, RFID devices, barcode scanners, etc. to an RS232 port of your computer, Free Serial Port Monitor lets you connect to this port and collect data it receives from the serial equipment.
