SPAMfighter provider of user-friendly anti-spam for servers announced today a new version of SPAMfighter Mail Gateway. The latest release of SPAMfighter Mail Gateway introduces new features and optimizations of existing performance:

Outbound and internal spam filtering
SPAMfighter Mail Gateway now features the option to filter Outbound and Internal e-mails for spam and virus. There are several arguments for also adressing outgoing and internal spam in a company.

Performance gains
Through a lot of performance benchmarking and optimization the engine is now faster than ever, featuring performance gains of over 60% (even 450% in extreme cases) and improved memory utilization. Every step in parsing and processing e-mails has been optimized.

New spam filters and anti spam policies
A series of configurable spam filters has been introduced. Among those are a greylisting filter, a stock E-mail filter, a caps lock filter and a trusted sender filter.

Signatures in outgoing mails
SPAMfighter Mail Gateway offers disclaimers that can be added for user groups or individually. Disclaimers can be used for many purposes, eg. branding, security warning or legal.

New interface
The web administrator interface has been revamped and a new statistics dashboard has been introduced.

SPAMfighter Mail Gateway has full support for Windows 2012, Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2008, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.

Intelligent Routing, Dynamic Addressing and Catch-All among new features in newest version of SPAMfighter Exchange Module
Mon, 12 May 2014 20:00:00 -0400

Copenhagen, May 13, 2014 - SPAMfighter, a leading provider of user-friendly anti-spam, anti-virus, and optimization software solutions for computers, tablets and smartphones utilizing Windows, Mac, and Android operating systems announced today a new version of SPAMfighter Exchange Module. This latest release of SPAMfighter Exchange Module 5.2.0.3 introduces several new features while updating and enhancing existing features. New features of SEM 5.2.0.3 include:

Intelligent Routing
A new tool for the Administrator, Intelligent Routing handles all mails received to an unknown e-mail address, and redirects such emails to a similar e-mail address that actually exists in Exchange Server. For example, a potential important mail sent to a non-existing mailbox such as steven@companyname.com would automatically be checked for spam and redirected to the actual existing mailbox of stephen@companyname.com.

Dynamic Addressing/Catch-All
A special case of Intelligent Routing is a new Dynamic Addressing feature where virtual e-mail addresses can be effectively handled. SPAMfighter Exchange Module automatically intercepts, checks for spam, and then redirects e-mails based upon regular expressions. That might be a series of e-mail addresses called support_a@companyname.com, support_b@companyname.com, support_c@companyname.com. Handling such dynamic e-mail addresses saves both time and resources for the Exchange Administrator. SEM also introduces Catch-All e-mail boxes as an supplement to Intelligent Routing, where the Administrator can easily set up Catch-All e-mail adresses to collect all e-mail messages sent to your organization to e-mails that do not exist.

Honeypot Feature
Another effective way to handle incoming spam mails sent to a non-existing mailbox is through the Honeypot feature. These mails will typically mean that a NDR (Non-Delivery Report) is being sent back to the sender, which can put a strain on the Exchange Server and potentially spam innocent recipients who have had their e-mail addresses spoofed. The Honeypot feature can suppress NDR mails, thereby effectively reducing the workload for the Exchange Server.

Enhancements to current dashboards now include new types of statistics which offer an even better overview of spam stats for incoming, outgoing, and internal spam. The tool for Intelligent Exchange Diagnostics first introducted in SEM 5.1.0.6 now also checks for Windows Server updates, and offers an email alert when new versions of either SEM or Windows Server are available for download.

Existing or new users of SPAMfighter Exchange Module will have access to these new features free of charge. SPAMfighter Exchange Module is available for a 30 day free trial here.

Free Exchange disclaimers in latest version of SPAMfighter Exchange Module.
Mon, 20 Jan 2014 19:00:00 -0500

The latest version of SPAMfighter Exchange Module adds functionality for adding signatures, also called disclaimers, to outgoing e-mails in Exchange Server 2007, 2010 and 2013.

The complexity of doing business today through e-mail is old news. E-mails are so pivotal to a company's success, but email messages sent by their own employees can also be used against them. So many companies are using legal disclaimers to avoid potential legal problems, however, some also use disclaimers for other purposes. Disclaimers for upholding confidentially are often used, but so too are the popular disclaimers for marketing, which create corporate identity or branding. Many of these disclaimers for marketing include virus and spam warnings in outgoing messages to signal that the company addresses e-mail security and scans outgoing mails for spam and virus.

SPAMfighter Exchange Module version 5.1.0.6 offers disclaimers that can be added individually or for each user group. For example, each division or each department can have unique HTML disclaimers with unique content, logos and links. Having a centralized and full control over Exchange disclaimers saves the IT administration a lot of time and standardizes disclaimers for professional email communication. In other words, SPAMfighter Exchange Module offers easy and flexible control over corporate email signatures and disclaimers.

Disclaimers in SPAMfighter Exchange Module also supports emails sent through Exchange from iPhone or other mobile devices and Outlook Web Access.

SPAMfighter Exchange Module version 5.1.0.6 also adds a functionality for testing that the latest MS Exchange fixpacks have been applied to Exchange.

Existing or new users of SPAMfighter Exchange Module will have access to this new features free of charge. SPAMfighter Exchange Module is avaiable for a 30 day free trial with spamfiltering for Exchange. Read more about Free Exchange Disclaimers.

SPAMfighter Mac Software Utilizes Award-Winning Spam Blocking Technology to Protect Mac Computers
Wed, 25 Sep 2013 20:00:00 -0400

BOCA RATON, FL -- September 26, 2013 -- SPAMfighter, a leading provider of user-friendly anti-spam, anti-virus, and optimization software solutions for computers, tablets and smartphones utilizing Windows, Mac, and Android operating systems announced today the release of SPAMfighter Mac, an effective Mac antispam software tool that effectively blocks spam e-mails from Mac computer systems.

Mac users are no longer considered invulnerable to viruses. As more people are using Macs, cyber criminals are looking for new ways to target these users. E-mails are an easy way for criminals to get to your personal information or infect your computer - spam emails included. Filtering spam email from a Mac computer can help keep malicious software from infecting your Mac.

"Spam on your Mac is not only annoying, it can be dangerous as well," said Henrik Sorensen, SPAMfighter CEO. "Our anti-spam software, SPAMfighter Mac, blocks spam and other suspicious e-mails before they can infect your computer. Your Mac is protected and you can be more productive without all those e-mails cluttering your Inbox."

SPAMfighter Mac automatically tests each incoming e-mail as it is received, and if identified as spam immediately sends it to the spam folder. SPAMfighter Mac is community-based software, meaning that each user contributes to keeping other users safe from potentially dangerous emails. Users can report a suspicious email with one click, and that e-mail is banned throughout the community.

A free 10 day trial of SPAMfighter for Mac Mail is available here
