Instead of using dedicated polling hardware, the system is taking advantage of the fact that nearly everyone today has a web-enabled phone. The Mentometer Plugin for PowerPoint enables speakers to pose questions to groups in intuitive ways. Participants use mobile phones or any web-enabled devices to respond. Results are instantly displayed in real-time, or gathered in detailed reports. The system is absolutely free to use with groups up to 25 people without any limitations. The system gives anyone in front of a crowd a much better toolset than asking "can I get a show of hands...?"
