PASSMARK SOFTWARE RELEASES OSFMOUNT PassMark Software releases OSFMount, a free, disk image mounting tool. SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - 21 October 2010 - PassMark Software today announced the release of OSFMount, a free utility that lets you mount local disk image files in Windows with a drive letter. Users can then analyze the disk image file with PassMark OSForensics by using the mounted volume"s drive letter. By default, the image files are mounted as read only so that the original image files are not altered. OSFMount supports the seamless drive mounting of several file formats (dd, iso, img, bin, 00h, nrg, sdi, afk, afm, afd and vmdk) and the mounting of RAM disks. RAM Disks have a large speed benefit over using hard disks, and can benefit applications requiring high speed disk access such as database applications, games and browsers.
