Stimulsoft Reports Server. Software Licensing Policy. Stimulsoft Reports Server licensing depends on the number of users. The user is a person who has a created account on the server, connects to it from a client, registered there as a user and uses Stimulsoft Reports Server for working with reports. Stimulsoft Reports Server is delivered with a minimum package for 10 users. This means that up to 10 users (including the administrator) can simultaneous be connected to the server and use a specific server installation. If it is necessary to use our product for more users, then it is possible to change the current license on the license for greater number of users. For this the customer should pay the difference between the cost of the current license and the cost of the license he wants to upgrade on. For example, the use of our product by one user (S1) costs 200 USD, therefore, a minimum package S10 (for 10 users) costs 2,000 USD. If you want to use Stimulsoft Reports Server for 15 users (S15), then it is possible to upgrade your license for 10 users to the license for 15 users. Unauthorized Users In addition to Registered Users, the functionality of Stimulsoft Reports Server can be used by users who are not authorized in the system - Unauthorized Users. They can use the resources which are publicly shared. In order the resource be publicly shared, Registered Users should flag it as a Public Share (select Share in the context menu of the resource, then mark the item as a Public Share and copy the link to the resource, see the documentation. Not being able to login to the server, Unauthorized Users have access to resources by links. Depending on the resource to which the access is allowed, possibilities of Unauthorized Users vary but, in general, they get a full set of functions for working with the resource. For example, if this is a Report item, then the user can view it in the viewer, export and print it. In the case of a PDF file, the functionality is limited by the system application for working with PDF. Excel files are opened in the corresponding program. No Royalties for Unauthorized Users Regardless of the licensing type, access of Unauthorized Users to publicly shared resources is not limited. For example, having a license for 20 Registered Users, you have the opportunity to connect any number of unauthorized users. There are no restrictions in the number of Unauthorized Users. The only limitation is power of your computer system. It allows sharing resources and instantly providing access to reports by links. It is easy, fast and convenient. What is the Subscription Program? The Subscription program gives you the opportunity to get the latest updates and new versions of the software. The Subscription program renewal costs 33% of the current full price of the license. The program allows you to get technical support. The subscription of Stimulsoft Reports Server for 5 users works the same way as in Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate. If the Subscription Program of Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate expires and the license on Stimulsoft Reports Server was activated by the conditions of the special offer for holders of the license on Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate, then the subscription on the report server also expires. Since the license is perpetual you may keep on using the software. License Validity The license is perpetual. The purchased product can be used as long as needed. License Downgrade This means decreasing the number of report server users. If a customer has purchased a license for a certain number of users but, for some reason, decided to reduce their number, then, when renewal of the Subscription, the customer can choose the option for less number of users. This procedure can be done no more than once per year.
