CodeTwo CatMan, the free Outlook add-in from CodeTwo designed for sharing Outlook categories in a network of multiple users, has been updated to version 3.2.0. It is now fully compatible with Microsoft Outlook 2010 64-bit. Users of Microsoft Outlook are given a very convenient opportunity to label their mail, contacts, calendar and task items for easy reference. In a workplace with multiple workstations where employees share Outlook data, there is a need to unify the categories so that an item entered on one computer will be labeled identically on all other machines. A solution is provided by CodeTwo, a software company developing applications based on Outlook and Exchange Server platforms, who has authored a small tool used for sharing categories in Microsoft Outlook on computers working in LAN as well as connected via Internet. The program is used to deploy identical categories on multiple workstations equipped with MS Outlook. It eliminates the need to finger-type the name and choose the color for the categories separately on each machine. The categories are entered on just one computer and saved to a txt file placed on the network drive or WWW/FTP server. All network users using Outlook with CodeTwo CatMan add-on may populate their Outlook clients with these categories. The program features a useful functionality which updates the information on categories on all connected Outlook clients utilizing the tool, once the source file containing categories is appended i.e. a category is added or removed from the list The application is free and easy to use and saves a lot of time that would otherwise be spent on entering identical data on multiple computers. It surely enhances the group work of every team. Starting from version 3.2 CodeTwo CatMan is also fully compatible with Microsoft Outlook 2010 64-bit.
